Barskimming Bridge, Mauchline, an image from the collection of John Taylor Gibb, used on page 63 of his 1911 book, Mauchline Town & District. This is one of three Ayrshire bridges associated with the name of Burns. (The other two being The Auld Brigs o' Doon and Ayr) At the far side of the bridge, is the holm, where Burns was inspired to write 'Man Was Made To Mourn.
