Dkyeneuk is one of the "four farms" which you pass between the Galston road and the Muirkirk road. Going that route for a walk is known locally as "Gawn roon the fower ferms". Dykey was a well known character in the area in years gone past. Above, are a couple of photos of the farm when Dykey Johnston lived there. Dated, maybe before 1930?
