Sorn - Wet, miserable, well walked, thirsty, cursing . . . . . Loudoun Hill Inn

Everyone was more than happy when the Loudon Hill Inn was in sight!! We are often asked for directions. Follow the fence on the Northern side of Blacksidend hill east, till it meets the fence coming from the North. ie when the fence running parallel to the hill meets the fence coming from the darvel mast direction. Click here for a rough map.

Left: An aeroplane which never managed to take off properly, on Sunday September 9th 1917. An informative newspaper article also surfaced.
Right: A piece of the canvas of the aeroplane, given to Mrs Procter, formerly of Stepends, Sorn, by Miss Barbara Farquhar (Gilmilnscroft). Mrs Procter was the owner of the scrap book donated to the Boswell Museum in the 1980s.
